Business Associate Agreement Case Study & Sample Audit
The HHS Office of Civil Rights’ 2016 Phase 2 HIPAA Audit Program has stepped up its auditing of healthcare institutions and their use of Business Associate Agreements (BAA).
As a hospital administrator, if you can’t produce signed BAAs for each contract, you risk substantial monetary fines. On average, one noncompliant contract could result in a $31,000 fine.
Check out this case study and let us conduct a sample contract audit to see how we can identify vulnerabilities before you are faced with a real audit.

Professional Services
No matter what contracting or compliance projects are on your to-do list, MediTract's Professional Services team can help!
Client-Driven Professional Services:
Over the years, we've been asked to provide hundreds of our client hospitals with professional services to help them:
  • Prepare for new regulatory requirements;
  • Conduct internal contract audits;
  • Apply best practices to contracting processes and work-flows across departments or across the hospital enterprise;
  • And ensure they are prepared for external contracting audits.
The requests have become so frequent that we've developed a new suite of professional services to address the most common. In addition to providing clients with System Administrators in a combination of models tailored to meet a hospital's needs (e.g., onsite/remote/combination; full-time, part-time), our newest offering includes Business Process Improvement services and assistance with auditing Business Associate Agreements (BAA).
